Zagreb Airport
The Zagreb Airport is 17 km from the centre, 20-25 minutes by car.
From the airport to the city there are several options of travel.

Airport shuttle
The scheduled airport shuttle “Pleso prijevoz” is operating between the Airport and the Zagreb Central Bus Terminal.
Price: 30 kn (4 €)

ZET bus (Zagreb public transportation)
Departures are scheduled every 35 minutes. First departure on weekdays and Saturdays from Kvaternik Square is at 04:20 am and on Sundays at 05:20 am, while the last departure from Velika Gorica is every day at 00:15 am. Tickets and fares.
Price: ticket purchesed from the driver is 10 kn (validity 60 minutes – single fare/daytime) / 1,40 €.

Taxi and UBER
Taxis pick up just outside baggage claim at the curb. Be sure to pick a registered taxi with a yellow sign on top of the car that has a meter. Registered taxis will have all of their licensing information displayed. A taxi to the center of Zagreb will cost between 150 kn and 250 kuna, depending on traffic. If you don’t get a registered taxi, be sure to set an agreed price before leaving the airport.
Regular taxi fare from the airport to the city of Zagreb: 150 kn – 250 kn (25 – 35 €).

Uber fare: 95 kn (13 €)

The Main Railway Station is on King Tomislav Square, just a 10 minute walk from the centre.

The bus terminal is a few minutes away from the main square by tram.

  • Exchange rate: 1 € = cca.7,4 kn.
  • At the airport, bus and train station there are ATM machines where you can get kunas.
  • You will find that you can pay for some items; private accommodation, some small restaurants – in Euros. Do note that this is entirely on an unofficial basis; the Euro is NOT an official currency and NO business/individual is required to accept them as payment.
